A Great Way to See and Taste Scotland…McLeanScotland Tours

McLeanScotland is a comprehensive tour service based in Perth, Scotland, central to all the action, tastes, sites and sounds. They work with travel agents or the general public worldwide and offer customized whisky, golf and site-seeing tours in Scotland and Ireland. These tours can be self drive or driver-guided for couples, small groups and larger groups. They don’t offer packaged tours like big tour agencies such as Thomas Cook.

McLeanScotland tours are all custom made to fit individual or group needs. Accommodations are 3 star minimum, always en suite. They use guest houses, local inns, castles, country houses andtraditional hotels, while staying away from chain hotels in order to give you the real Scottish or Irish experience.

McLeanScotland also offers high-end luxury, VIP tours. In 2012 they were hired by Diageo, the world’s largest producer of spirits, to run an exclusive whisky tour for prize winners from South Africa. Top hotels, exciting locations and Diageo distilleries were featured. Paul McLean said, “We were with them the whole trip and it was great experience for everyone, especially as they saw a different culture first hand.”

They are recommended and used by VisitScotland.

Whatever you want, whatever you can imagine, McLeanScotland can pretty much do it. They arrange small weddings, wedding renewals, whisky dinners, general sightseeing and cultural/history tours, arrange for you to meet a Clan Chief in his castle! (See photo gallery below. Here are some of their custom special servies:

Whisky Tours. They design bespoke or custom tours of Scotland and Ireland for whisky clubs, groups and individuals. They design beginner tours as well as more in depth and connoisseur experiences. These tours can last up to three days or as long as required, tailored to visit distilleries selected by the client, plus one or two that are closed to the public. They have excellent contacts within the whisky industry. They can also mix whisky tours withgolf, historic, sightseeing and every type of tour imaginable.

Whisky Schools. McLeandScotland designs whisky “schools” for clients using several distilleries, independent bottlers and warehouses. They are very popular. They arrange transport and accommodation. From a half day to 3 full days.

Whisky Casks. McLeanScotland offers a cask selection service for clients, where they can purchase whisky from a distillery and make it all your own. McLeanScotland arranges purchase and selection, aged finishing and bottling, and shipping—a complete service. This is often done for a group of friends, a whisky club, a forward thought for a big number birthday, or no matter what the idea or celebration.

When you contact them, ask for Paul and tell him TD sent you. And send us some pictures of your tour. We’ll post them on these pages. Slainte.
